WELCOME TO THE 24TH ANNUAL TOUR DE VINEYARDS

Thank you for registering for the 24th annual Tour de Vineyards on September 16, 2017. We hope this ride is the highlight of your 2017 calendar!  We are happy to welcome riders from across the country, including Utah, Arizona, Florida, Iowa and Virginia.

With the ride quickly approaching, we wanted to share a few more details and reminders to help ensure a great experience. See you this weekend!

PACKET PICK-UP (FRIDAY ONLY)

If you choose not to have your packet mailed early, packet pick-up for all online and mail-in registrations will be on September 15 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Talon Winery.

ROUTE MAPS & DETAILS

Please plan to start your ride between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. ALL riders MUST be on the road by 8:00 a.m. We encourage riders to begin early to avoid heavy traffic from the Colorado Mountain Winefest presented by Alpine Bank.  Click here to download the 2017 Course Map.There will be two aid stations on the course. Each aid station will be stocked with water, Nuun Hydration drink, fruit, KIND Bars, trail mix, peanut butter, etc.

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A RIDE NOT A RACE! Show extra caution while descending Reeder Mesa on the 58 mile course, as well as ride single file on the bike paths with two way traffic.

PLEASE DON’T DRINK AND RIDE. Though we go to great lengths to make the event as safe as possible, you are only as safe as you ride. Always remember that your safety is in your own hands.

SAG Support

Sag wagons will drive the course with water and will be available to assist riders experiencing mechanical trouble or those who become too fatigued to finish. Please be prepared to handle your own flats and minor repairs.

Private SAGS

For the safety of all riders, private sag vehicles are NOT allowed on the course.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

There are many options for parking in Downtown Palisade.  Wheter you are coming from I-70 or from Highway 6.  Just make sure to allow extra time.  Peachbowl Park is also a good option if you are running late.

IT’S A PICNIC, PARTY AND EXPO ALL IN ONE!

Whether you are riding or just watching the fun, come explore the active expo area in Downtown Palisade where you may visit our event sponsors and local vendors including: Primal Wear, Nuun Hydration, BikeState38, Gelu Italian Ice, Coolstich, Halfprint Naturals, Colorado River Recovery Program, The Hippie Spot ReCyclery and many more.

Enjoy an awesome, healthy brunch as part of your registration fee. Sample products, mingle with friends and listen to tunes by Matt Rouch & the Noise Upstairs  YOUR WRIST BAND WILL ACT AS YOUR TICKET FOR YOUR BRUNCH.  A limited number of tickets to the brunch will also be available for friends and family for $12 each. Please inquire / purchase at packet pick-up.

GREAT PRIZES

We will host a prize drawing that will take place at the post-ride celebration and include Primal cycling apparel, Rudy Project sunglasses and helmets, wine packages and much more!

MASSAGES

Touch Massage & Bodyworks will be at the finish from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. providing massages. Treat yourself to a 20 minute ($35) or 30 minute ($45) massage before heading over to the Winefest.

RIDER PHOTOS

Tour de Vineyards has partnered with SkiPix to capture your favorite memories along the route. Photos will be available for purchase beginning September 19th at SkiPix.com.

COLORADO MOUTAIN WINEFEST

Colorado’s Wine Festival takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Riverbend Park, just a few miles from Downtown Palisade.  All participants must be 21 and over and have a separate ticket for entry.  This event sells out, so if you desire to attend and have not purchased a ticket please click here.

AFTER RIDE SHOWERS

After the ride, we will have changing rooms and showers available.  Changing rooms will be located at the start and finish in Downtown Palisade and showers will be a few blocks away at Peach Bowl Park, available until 3:00 p.m. Please bring your own towel and toiletries.
